Budget Payment Plan

Our Budget Payment Plan helps make heating expenses more manageable by spreading your estimated annual fuel costs into predictable monthly payments. Instead of paying larger bills during the winter, you will enjoy consistent monthly payments throughout the year.

How It Works

• Your estimated annual propane or heating oil usage is calculated using your previous usage history.
• We estimate your annual fuel cost using your projected gallons and anticipated average fuel price.
• Your estimated annual cost is divided into 11 equal monthly payments, due August through June.
• July is your annual reconciliation month, when your account is reviewed and any remaining balance or credit is settled. No regular budget payment is due in July.

What to Expect

• You will receive a monthly statement showing:
  • Budget payments made
  • Fuel deliveries received
  • Your current budget balance
• It is normal for deliveries to exceed payments during the winter months and for your account balance to fluctuate throughout the year.
• A credit balance on your statement does not eliminate your monthly budget payment. Monthly payments continue as scheduled to cover future fuel deliveries.
• By the end of the budget year, your payments and deliveries should closely balance.

Eligibility & Program Terms

• Monthly payments may be adjusted if your projected annual fuel usage changes significantly.
• Final reconciliation occurs each July, when any remaining balance is billed or any account credit is applied according to program terms.
• Budget customers may enroll in the Price Cap Program by paying the applicable enrollment fee before the program deadline.
